Martí Sales

 Sales, born in Barcelona in 1979, has worn many hats: he’s released a few albums with Els Surfing Sirles, studied comparative literature, written (six books: the most recent, Aliment [Food], published by Club Editor), translated (John Fante, Kurt Vonnegut, Kate Tempest, Harold Pinter, Shirley Jackson, Ray Bradbury, John Berger), acted (with theatre company Amaranto and in a thousand other recitals and shindigs), directed poetry festivals (Barcelona Poetry Week and the Palau i Fabre Foundation’s Poesia i + [Poetry Plus] festival)... A member of the Ruderal housing cooperative, in 2024 he has translated Shirley Jackson’s The Lottery and Other Stories for L’Altra.
