Isabel del Río
Isabel del Río, born in Barcelona in 1983, holds an undergraduate degree in philosophy from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and has been a literary professional since 2009. Author of novels, short stories and poetry, cultural agitator, community manager and bookseller, she contributes to literary media outlets such as Librújula magazine. She’s the author of En la casa de Ícelo [At Icelos’s House] (InLimbo) and Mare [Mother] (Spècula), a novel spanning science fiction and cosmic horror that won the Imperdible Award and was shortlisted for an Ictineu. Her dark fantasy La ausencia de todos los colores [The Absence of All Colour] was recently published by Apache, and her latest novel No albiro el bosc [I Can’t Make Out the Forest] is forthcoming with Mai Més.
