EstàsON. Fantastic STEAM
As part of the 42 Festival of Fantastic Literature, participants will have the chance to create a fantastic story using different STEAM experiments, challenges and games. Through a science experiment, digital technology and engineering with Scratch programming, invisible paint and maths problems, children will be able to create and depict their own fantasy narrative.
Duration: 1 two-hour session
Participants: 9
Moderator: Funbrain
Barcelona Libraries and Barcelona Activa are providing a programme to foster interest in science and technology among children and young people aged between 6 and 12.
As part of the Fantastic Literature Festival, we’ll discover what defines a fantasy story and who its protagonists are. We’ll create a story and build a motorised robot to be the main character.
The main goals of the activity are to promote fantasy literature and encourage scientific and technological careers and cross-cutting learning in STEAM disciplines, helping participants to develop the ability to solve future challenges while enhancing their skills with an eye to the working world.
