Ana Merino

Ana Merino, born in Madrid in 1971, is an author. She won the Nadal Award in 2020 for El mapa de los afectos [The Map of Affection], has also published the novel Amigo [Friend] and is an accomplished poet, with ten poetry collections, two of them for children. Other Merino works include two YA novels, El hombre de los dos corazones [The Man With Two Hearts] and the recent science fiction novel Planeta Lasvi [Planet Lasvi] (Siruela, 2024), in addition to four plays. She’s also written two essays and over 60 academic articles on comics and graphic novels, and has curated six comic exhibitions.
