Aitziber Saldias 

Aitziber Saldias, born in Besain, Gipuzkoa in 1989, studied English philology before moving to Barcelona a decade ago. She was shortlisted for the 3^rd Ripley Award for her story Hija del río [Daughter of the River] and the 2023 Domingo Santos Award for Viajeros de otras costas [Travellers from Other Shores]. Horror has been her favourite genre ever since she read Pet Sematary at a young age and started being afraid to turn off the lights. The widely acclaimed Las raíces recuerdan tu nombre [The Roots Remember Your Name] (Obscura) is her first novel.
