Cosplay fans (and we know Barcelona has some real talent), this is your moment! The final day of the fourth edition of the 42 Festival, in collaboration with Barcelona Cosplay, will feature a spectacular closing in which some 30 contestants will take to the catwalk in science-fiction, fantasy and horror-themed cosplays from literature or film/TV/video-game adaptations. After they have paraded with their outfits and accessories specially made for the occasion, a panel made up of specialists Sofía Guerrero (Vampisaurus on social media), who has already participated in the 42 Festival, and her BCN Witch Market co-creators Mara Antón and Víctor Fernández, will decide the winners and runners-up of this edition, the rules of which you can find here. These rules also explain the conditions for entering, the prizes at stake and possible additional themes linked to the 42 Festival, starting with dragons and ending this year with horror. Performance, technique, originality, genre codes, the catwalk... Everything counts, even the audience’s applause, if you want to win the first-ever Cosplay 42 award.
