Javier Ruescas
Javier Ruescas, born in Madrid in 1987, is a “booktoker”, scriptwriter, author, traveller, and creative writing teacher. On his social media channels, he shares his favourite books, fun facts, tips for budding writers, travels and much more. As an author, he’s published over 20 novels and audiobooks with Penguin Random House, Planeta, Audible and other leading publishers. A cultural communicator on YouTube with 300,000 followers, he’s worked on series and feature films and adapted Yo soy el que soy [I Am What I Am] for the theatre. His most recent works are Lo que pasó [What Happened] (Crossbooks), in which he speaks out about a personal experience of LGBTIQ-phobia, and the dytopian trilogy Electro, reprinted by Umbriel.
