Sònia Boj

Sònia Boj (Barcelona,1976) defines herself as a story creator and problem solver. She draws from all the fantastical and dark genres in a constant quest for the most unusual combination to stir up the guts of anyone bold enough to read her stories, which are brimming with blood, eroticism and extreme madness. The author of L’androide que podia estimar (Ed. SECC, 2022), she has contributed to different anthologies, like Sexe fora de norma. Gelats (Ed. Raig Verd, 2023), Club Splatter 3 (Ed. Pathosformel, 2023), A l’ombra de Boccaccio (Ed. Trípode, 2018), A l'ombra del Decameró (Ed. Gregal, 2014) and Bestiari (Ed. Secc, 2017), and has published her works in the magazines Catarsi and Freakcions. She won the Ictineu Award for Best Story Written in Catalan for ‘Descodificació aberrant’ (2010) and the Solidari Hospital de Sant Pau Award for ‘I tu per què no en dones?’ (2011).
