Marta Sanz surprised critics and audiences alike withPersianas metálicas bajan de golpe (Anagrama, 2023), a dystopian novel that works as a radical literary game to direct a well-aimed critique of our world in the guise of a futuristic pamphlet with hopeful touches. Based on this work, the journalist and writer Aissata M’ballo Diao will survey Sanz's career, linking up with important works by this Madrid-based author like the feminist essay Monstruas y centauras. She will also focus on the author's vision and referents in fantastical genres, as well as her claims on behalf of genre literature, which she has primarily cultivated with noir novels, and now with science fiction as well.
