Màrius Serra
Màrius Serra (Barcelona, 1963) is a Catalan writer with a degree in English Philology and a long literary career that combines the production of realist works with other non-mimetic works that contain touches of fantasy. Serra‘s creations are centred around literature, language and play, spanning a wide variety of works, including Quieto, Verbalia, the Napeu children‘s series and the complete modern-Catalan version of Tirant lo Blanc. His short stories have also been translated into around ten languages and have won a variety of prizes, including the City of Barcelona, the Serra d’Or, the Ramon Llull and the Sant Jordi. True to his love of plays on words and linguistic games, the writer has also produced hieroglyphic puzzles and crosswords for various television and radio programmes.
