Maria Antònia Martí-Escayol
Maria Antònia Martí-Escayol (Terrassa, 1972) has a PhD in History. She is a writer, translator and a full professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She specialises in Environmental Humanities, Modern-Era History and East Asian Culture. Her work currently revolves around ecocriticism and the connections between aesthetic practices and environmental justice. As a writer, some of her science-fiction, solarpunk and horror books have been translated into English, Italian, Portuguese and Chinese. In 2014, she was a finalist at the Minotauro science fiction and fantasy awards. She was also the co-editor of MaMuT, the science-fiction and fantasy magazine.
