Josep-Francesc Delgado
Josep-Francesc Delgado (Barcelona, 1960) is a poet, storyteller, essayist and novelist. The leitmotivs of his works are travel and the contrast in thinking this entails, as well as fascination with knowledge of other cultures. He is primarily known for the novels stemming from his journeys to the Himalaya: Si puges al Sagarmatha quan fumeja neu i vent (Joaquim Ruyra Award), Nima, el xerpa (second International Prize Europe), Sota el signe de Durga (National Literature Award) and La tomba de Tiangbotxé (2014). He also writes short stories, although in recent years, he has focused more on essays and has published the biography El món de Michael Ende: vida, obra i antroposofia (Pagès Editors, Sant Miquel d'Engolasters d’Andorra Literary Essay Award). He is currently preparing new poems and a novel set in the mediaeval world of the Catalan-Aragonese Crown.
