Tradition is not only about Tolkien. For example, one of our most unfairly treated classics was published for the first time in 1983: L’Illa de les Tres Taronges, by Jaume Fuster. Forty years later, the novel and the trilogy as a whole, have become a  benchmark for epic fantasy within our tradition, a context in which we often encounter a lack of maestros or find that they have been rendered invisible. Therefore, at Festival 42, and in collaboration with the Association of Catalan Language Writers (AELC), of which Fuster was the president, we aim to reappraise the author and his work. We want to bring the work of Jaume Fuster to new generations of readers, make it better known and raise it to the level of great Catalan fantasy writers, such as Pere Calders, Manuel de Pedrolo and Joan Perucho. To that end, we will be enjoying the presence of the current AELC president , Sebastià Portell, along with the former president Guillem-Jordi Graells, who knows Fuster's work well. Also taking part are the writer Margarida Aritzeta, a great defender of genre literature and an acquaintance of Fuster himself, and Selena Soro, a leading light in epic fantasy in Catalan and a representative of the most recent wave of genre writers.
