Margarida Aritzeta
Margarida Aritzeta (Valls, 1953) has had 35 books published and contributed to several anthologies, not just noir genre but also science-fiction and fantasy. A graduate in Modern and Contemporary History and a PhD in Catalan Philology, she has been a teacher of literary theory for four decades. Her accolades include the 1980 Víctor Català award winner, the 1982 Sant Joan Novel awards and the 2013 Barcanova YA Literature award. She was a member of the Ofèlia Dracs writers' group. A recipient of the 2018 St George Cross, she is the Dean of the Institució de les Lletres Catalanes. She recently contributed to the science-fiction noir anthology Vapor negre.
