ON HEROES AND LEGENDS: ROMAN MYTHOLOGY, THE GREAT UNKNOWN
Throughout his literary career, the Italian writer Giovanni Nucci has specialised in adapting the great Greek and Roman classics to a young reader audience. These versions of the famous Latin legends and myths, like Las aventuras de Ulises (Siruela, 2009), use contemporary, understandable language which makes the founding mythological texts accessible to young people. Plus, Nucci also strives to disseminate these immortal tales. Now he has dared to tell the story of the founding of Rome through its most beautiful and intriguing myths in Y fundaremos la ciudad más grande del mundo (Siruela). Mònica Miró, a professor and fellow influencer on the classical world, will talk with Nucci to find out the ingredient that has made it possible for these myths and legends to continue fascinating us thousands of years after they were created.
