Andreu Martín
Andreu Martín (Barcelona, 1949) is a writer specialising in crime and police novels since he published Muts i a la gàbia in 1979. In 1980, he received the Círculo del Crimen Award for Pròtesi. Subsequently, he has written a number of award-winning books in the genre, including Barcelona connection and L’home que tenia raor (both winners of Hammett Prizes, awarded by the International Association of Crime Writers), Bellíssimes persones (which won the Hammett and also obtained the Ateneo de Sevilla Award) and De tot cor (Alfons el Magnànim Award). In addition, he has received the prestigious Pepe Carvalho Award at the BCNegra Festival. He has also written for children, creating the character of Flanagan with Jaume Ribera. The first novel, No demanis llobarro fora de temporada, received the National Youth Literature Award.
