We visit the Sant Pau Biomedical Research Institute, a research center whose aim is to improve the health of sick people through biomedical research. Its proximity to the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau makes it possible to act as a bridge between basic research and clinical practice. Researchers Marta Querol and Paula Ferrer explain the research they are doing on neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's. We will see how they do their research and the changes that occur in the brain in people with this disease causing neuronal death and memory loss.
