Escolab

We visit the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO), a research center dedicated to advancing the limits of knowledge in the fields of photonics, the science and technology of photons. We are joined by Marina Cunquero, a researcher specialized in optical microscopy who studies how the neurons of the eye communicate with the aim of restoring the function of the neurons of patients with certain types of blindness. Marina tells us about the microscopes they use and that they even make from the ICFO. We will also see the applications of the studies carried out in this center such as in the field of health, cyber security or in the manufacture of new materials.
