Observations: This Chorisia speciosa forms part of a group of 4 specimens of the same species and was witness to an important event in the city: the Olympic Games in 1992. Native to Brazil and Argentina, it is an exotic and uncommon tree in Barcelona. It was brought from a plantation in Valencia and planted in its present place in 1992. Estimated to be 80 years old, this tree is interesting thanks to its spectacular flowers which appear in autumn.
