Traffic lane closure in C/ Mèxic

The section of C/ Mèxic between Gran Via and C/ Sant Fructuós will have just one lane of traffic open, in the direction of Montjuïc, until 11 April. The left-hand lane will be closed for work to improve the network operated by Aigües de Barcelona.

Traffic on the descending side of C/ Mèxic (normally with vehicles travelling in both directions) has been cut since January from C/ Sant Fructuós because of the work to extend the L8 to Pl. Espanya. Now this section of C/ Mèxic, between Gran Via and C/ Sant Fructuós, is only open to traffic on the ascending side, with two lanes of traffic. The left-hand lane will be closed from Monday, 17 March, to Friday, 11 April, due to work being carried out by Aigües de Barcelona. The pedestrian route will continue on the same pavement, and access to all the reserved entrances in the affected section is guaranteed at all times.
