The parks, the roads and the woods of Montjuïc are natural reserves in the city. The Biodiversity Atlas has 739 plant species identified in Montjuïc and the Poble-sec, and 288 tree species, including 24 specimens cataloged as trees of local interest. Since 2014, all public and private operators working on Montjuïc mountain have been holding Park Council meetings to coordinate lines of action. They monitor and ensure fulfilment of the goals stipulated in the Montjuïc Action Plan for 2019-2029 through full council or standing committee meetings.
