Kongwen Lu és autor d’una sèrie de novel·les de fantasia que narren les aventures d’un heroic adolescent, també anomenat Kongwen, a la recerca per posar fi al tirànic govern de Lord Redmane. Però, a partir d’un estrany gir del destí, el món de fantasia de la novel·la comença a impactar la vida al món real. Fa tretze anys l’Exèrcit Vilà del mal va aparèixer en el seu castell flotant al cel per envair la Terra. Per protegir el món d’aquests invasors immortals, l’equip de superherois, els Dragon Rangers, exerceixen els seus poders miraculosos per confrontar-los. Però... realment són els invasors els dolents?
