Concert "Pedrito Martínez - Antonio Martínez - Michael League"

Van actuar, per primera i única vegada, el 2018 al North Sea Jazz Festival, on aquell any Michael League –fundador i ànima de Snarky Puppy, i català de Texas– feia d’artista resident. Ara ja tenen un disc acabat, pendent de publicació, que és una lliçó increïble de jazz i música contemporània poderosa. Les percussions i els cants en yoruba del cubà Pedrito Martínez més la bateria del mexicà Antonio Sánchez (també resident a Catalunya) al costat del baix i l’electrònica de League donen com a resultat un terrabastall d’idees i de forces rítmiques al servei d’una música del tot inesperada. I han triat el nostre festival per fer la presentació en directe del nou repertori d’un trio vibrant que promet nits úniques.
