Guided visits
The Museu Etnològic i de Cultures del Món offers free guided visits for individuals on the first Sunday of every month at the Montcada Venue and at the Parc Montjuïc Venue. Only in Catalan. They are included in the admission price to the museum.
Parc Montjuïc Venue
The Headquarters of the Parc de Montjuïc collects utensils and tools of daily life linked to our roots in popular culture, rural life and pre-industrial trades such as fishing, agriculture, livestock and textiles, among others. The objects are also arranged in the realms of the domestic world, work, play and parties, beliefs and religion, aspects related to the discipline of ethnology and which, after all, constitute the different frameworks through which the life of all humans passes.
Montcada Venue
The Montcada headquarters presents more than 500 fish from Africa, Oceania, Asia and America, made by very diverse peoples and societies and at different historical moments. They are first-class examples of man's relationship with his natural environment and the universe, of his beliefs and rituals. The guided tours offer tours across the continent with cross-cutting themes on major issues common to all humanity.

The museum also offers guided tours to groups.
In English, we currently offer the group guided tour Let's go around the world.
In Catalan, Spanish and French, we offer a different guided tours for groups. At the Montcada Venue, in addition to the general Let's go around the world tour, we have available tours to discover the collections of pieces from different continents and cross-thematic tours on topics such as the world's major religions or sex and gender in different cultures. At the Parc Montjuïc Venue, we offer guided tours around the collection of traditional crafts or traditional Catalan everyday objects, among others. Duration: 1 hr 30 mins, approximately. Guided tours for groups between 10 and 20 people.
Day and time have been booked in advance by sending an email to reservesmeb@bcn.cat or by calling +34 932 562 300 (Monday to Saturday, from 9 am to 7 pm, and Sunday, from 9 am to 8 pm).
Prices per group: 60-minute tour: €60 (€2.5 per student/ extra); 90-minute tour: €65 (€2.5 per student/ extra); between 90- and 180-minute tour-workshop: €80 (€3 per student/ extra). These prices correspond to the 2021-2022 school year. They may be subject to changes, as they are conditional on the approval of new municipal public-sector charges
