The Catalonia Plaza Catalunya Hotel is located just a few meters from Plaza Catalunya and La Rambla, the best location to discover the city.

The modernist-style building was built in 1899 by the architect Emili Salas Cortés, who was Antoni Gaudí's teacher. The block was completely restored and expanded in 1998, incorporating the adjoining classical-style building dating from 1881. The entrance and facade of the main building have been preserved and restored. An impressive marble staircase leading to the first floor has been preserved, where magnificent Cuban mahogany doors can be found. Look up to see a beautiful coffered ceiling and a fantastic dome, both perfectly preserved. In addition, we have maintained the wrought iron railing of the building's main staircase and restored the original drawings
