How to get there

An initiative of Joaquim Ruiz Millet and Ana Planella founded in 1989, this gallery brings together more than three decades of creative flow in Barcelona.
Galeria H2O opened in October 1989 with the exhibition of architectural drawings by the Dutch architect Ben van Berkel. Throughout its trajectory, photography has taken on greater importance. Alberto García-Alix and Miguel Trillo continuously exhibit there, while the gallery has subsequently welcomed new generations of photographers and artists.

In 1991, the gallery started reissuing historical design pieces by recovering the furniture created by the architect F. J. Barba Corsini in 1995 for the penthouses in Gaudí's La Pedrera. The collection was expanded with new objects associated with its activity as a gallery, including the H2O chair, the Flamp lamp and the Autoband, designed by Martí Guixé.
In 1995 the gallery started a project to publish literary text with the collection "Les idiotes".
Galeria H2O organises a wide variety of architecture, design, photography and contemporary art exhibitions.
