Casa Vicens is Gaudí's first masterpiece, the prelude to his later work. It was built between 1883 and 1885 as a summer house for the Vicens family, with the architect's unparalleled talent on full display. Casa Vicens was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2005.
