Creating an ethnography of urban habitability in times of climate change
An invitation to co-create a Department of Umbrology dedicated to studying the social and material impact of shadows in urban life. Through a variety of activities, we want to learn to appreciate this environmental relationship: dedicating ourselves to the ethnographic study of the complex relationships between the sun and the buildings, streets and trees. We also seek to untangle the various ways that different people and groups survive the scorching heat.
