The exhibition Penelope, the sea is yours, is based on the myth of Homer’s epic poem, the Odyssey. During the twenty years that her husband is absent, having set off to fight in the Trojan War, Penelope shows her ingenuity and patience by weaving a burial shroud by day, and unpicking it by night, to delay marrying any of her new suitors

From a nautical perspective, patience and ingenuity are the virtues of great sailors. The exhibition  Penelope, the sea is yours presents the experiences and challenges of six women from the world of sailing at different stages of their professional careers:

• Abril Marfà, a promising young eleven year old who is not afraid of challenges.

• Natàlia Via-Dufresne, sailor with a long and successful career.

• Nora García, Nacra 15 world champion who dreams of going to the Olympic Games

• Maria Torrijo, first woman in the world to hold the titles of International Judge, International Referee, and International regatta Officer.

• Andrea Emone, sailor and aerospace engineer from the Alinghi Red Bull Racing Team. • Ana Pujol, winner of multiple patí a vela regattas.

The exhibition also includes fours activity points especially designed to introduce children to the world of sailing sports.
