The tenor Josep Carreras and the bailaora Sara Baras will be offering an exciting experience on 20 October, uniting opera and dance in an iconic setting. It will be at 8 pm on Passeig de Gràcia, on the stretch between València and Rosselló, as part of the Passeig's bicentenary.
With free admission and with the public seated to ensure comfort and good visibility, the show rounds off the weeks of the Cultural Regatta, the program of activities promoted by Barcelona City Council to accompany the celebration of the 37th America's Cup and is part of the legacy of this event in the city. With different cultural, artistic, gastronomic, science and leisure proposals, the Cultural Regatta brings the public closer to knowing and enjoying the celebration in the city of one of the main sporting events in the world. Remembering the Cultural Olympiad of the Olympic Games, the Cultural Regatta also wants to be a space to show the dynamism and creativity of Barcelona.
The concert is also part of the program of activities programmed by the Fundació Barcelona Promoció to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Passeig de Gràcia, an event that has been considered an Event of Exceptional Public Interest (EEIP).
It is organized by the Fundació Barcelona Promoció, with the artistic production of Concert Studio and the technical production of Focus and promoted by Barcelona City Council, with a spectacular performance that will turn the heart of the city into an open-air stage.

El diumenge 20 d’octubre el tenor Josep Carreras i la bailaora Sara Baras oferiran una experiència inoblidable que unirà l’òpera i el ball en un entorn icònic. Serà a les 20 hores al passeig de Gràcia, al tram entre València i Rosselló, en el marc del bicentenari del passeig.
L’espectacle, gratuït i d’accés lliure, amb el públic assegut per garantir la comoditat i la bona visibilitat, serà el concert de cloenda de la Regata Cultural, el programa d’activitats que impulsa l’Ajuntament de Barcelona per acompanyar la celebració de la 37a Copa Amèrica de vela i forma part del llegat d’aquest esdeveniment a la ciutat. Amb diferents propostes culturals, artístiques, gastronòmiques, de ciència i d’oci, la Regata Cultural acosta la ciutadania a conèixer i gaudir de la celebració a la ciutat d’un dels principals esdeveniments esportius del món. Recordant l’Olimpíada Cultural dels Jocs Olímpics, la Regata Cultural vol ser també un espai on mostrar el dinamisme i la creativitat de Barcelona.
