Teresa Riesgo is the and Secretary General for Innovation of the Spanish Ministry of Science Innovation and President of Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) since January 2020, former Director General for Research, Development and Innovation since July 2018. She holds Master and PhD Degrees in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid, where she was Full Professor of Electronics since 2003. During her academic career she has participated in more than 60 research projects, many of them international and in cooperation with industry, and published more than 200 scientific papers. She has actively participated in academic activities of the University as International Double Degree Programmes worldwide, as the department and research centre Head, etc. After more than 25 years of academic activities, she took the responsibility as DG at the Ministry where she is now in charge of the promotion of innovation and the planning and follow-up of the Spanish strategies of science and innovation.
