Pepe Serra
Director, Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC)
Degree in Art History (contemporary specialty) from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He has been director of the National Art Museum of Catalonia since January 2012. Previously, he was director of the Picasso Museum in Barcelona (2006-2012), deputy general director of museums at the Department of Culture of the Government of Catalonia (years 2005 and 2006), Head of Programs at the La Pedrera Foundation (2001-2005) and Coordinator of traveling exhibitions at the MACBA (1996-2000).
He has been Director and Professor of the Museums Graduate Program at Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona (2010-2015) and Director and professor of the two editions in Barcelona of the Museums in Changing Times seminar organized by Johns Hopkins University (2012 and 2016). He is also a guest professor of several master's degrees and university postgraduate studies such as the Master's in Cultural Heritage Management and Museology at the University of Barcelona, the Master's in Analysis and Management of Artistic Heritage at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona or the Postgraduate Degree in Humanities, Health and Arts in Health Projects from Pompeu Fabra University.
