Work on the Clot interchange enters the decisive stage
The foyer in C/ Aragó will be closed until June to allow the work to be carried out, meaning that access to the metro will be via C/ València and the interchange with Renfe will be above ground.

The entrance to the Clot metro station (L1) in C/ Aragó will be closed from 17 February to June, allowing for work on improving accessibility to continue. The work at the Clot rail interchange started a year ago.
While this measure is in place:
1) Access to the L1 platforms will be via the foyer in C/ València, and
2) the interchange with the Rodalies network will be above ground.
The entrance to the Rodalies network from Av. Meridiana will also be closed.
Greater accessibility
The disruption comes in the context of the work started in January 2024 to adapt the interchange for people with reduced mobility. The work centres particularly on the L1 station of Clot and will allow for the completion of the whole interchange with a specific entrance from the street, the foyer and the L1 platforms, plus the connections with other lines.
The work in progress will remodel the spaces and connections between levels with the installation of five lifts and suitable paving for people with visual disabilities.
In parallel, work is also under way to adapt the stations of Ciutadella – Vila Olímpica (L4) and La Pau (L2).
The work involves an investment of 7.1 million euros, partly funded with Next Generation funding from the EU Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
The metro network currently has 153 adapted stations out of a total of 165 (93%). Besides the project at the Clot station, work is also in progress at the metro stations of Espanya, Verdaguer and Ciutadella – Vila Olímpica, with routes also being improved at Sants-Estació, Passeig de Gràcia and Catalunya.
