Ricky Burdett
Professor of urban studies
Ricky Burdett is a professor of urban studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the director of the research and studies centres Urban Age and LSE Cities.
He served as an advisor on architecture for the office of the Mayor of London from 2001 to 2006, and for the 2012 Olympic Games. He also served as the director of the 2006 Venice Biennale Architecture Exhibition, and as the curator for the exhibit “Global Cities” at London’s Tate Modern gallery.
