Guatemalan lawyer Renata Ávila is a specialist in Human Rights and in technology and intellectual property. She is currently Executive Director of the Fundación Ciudadano Inteligente (Smart Citizen Foundation). She has been a member of the legal teams of Rigoberta Menchú and Julian Assange and is a member of the Creative Commons management team. She is a contributor to the international bloggers’ community Global Voices, among numerous other media, and is co-author of Women, Whistleblowing, WikiLeaks (OR Books, 2017).
