Núria Cadenes i Alabèrnia (1970) was born in Barcelona and lives in Valencia. She is a writer and works as a bookseller and journalist. 

Among other books, she has published the non-fiction books Cartes de la presó [Prison Letters] (1990), L’Ovidi [Ovid] (2002), Vine al sud! [Come to the South!] (2008), AZ (2009, City of Elche Prize and XX Critics Award for Valencian Writers), Tota la veritat [The Whole Truth] (2016, VII Crims de Tinta Prize [for noir novels]), Secundaris [Secondary] (2018) and Guillem (2020, Lletra d’Or Prize).
