Mariona Tomàs Fornés, Professor of Political Science and member of the Local Studies Research Group (GREL) at the Universitat de Barcelona, is an expert in metropolitan governance and urban policies.
Doctor in Urban Studies from the National Institute of Scientific Research in Quebec, she garnered the Extraordinary Prize and the Governor General of Canada’s Academic Gold Medal. Her book Penser métropolitain? La bataille politique du Grand Montréal [Thinking metropolitan? The political battle of Greater Montreal] won the Quebec National Assembly’s Political Book Prize in 2013.
