Tourism expert
She holds a PhD in Humanities and Social Sciences, along with degrees in Tourism and Business Management, and a master’s in Financial and Administrative Management. In 2014, she was awarded the Tourism Medal by the Generalitat Government of Catalonia in recognition of her contributions to improving knowledge and applied research in the tourism sector.
She has an extensive professional and entrepreneurial career, having led CETT for over 35 years. Her experience spans the tourism sector in the areas of management, education and active participation in institutions and forums for reflection. She also led the project “Foundations for the Management and Promotion of Responsible and Sustainable Tourism”, initiated by Barcelona City Council (2015). She is currently an expert member of the Tourism and City Council at Barcelona City Council, the Tourism Circle at Barcelona Provincial Council and the Board of Affiliate Members of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), among other organisations.
