Economist
Lourdes Beneria is an economist, professor emeritus at Cornell University (USA) and expert in economics and gender studies. She has advised international bodies like the International Labour Organisation and the United Nations Development Fund for Women.
Her publications include the recent book Gender, Development and Globalization: Economics as if All People Mattered (Routledge, 2015), which she co-authored with Günseli Berik and Maria S. Floro.
