Begoña Román Maestre is a professor at the School of Philosophy of the University of Barcelona, where she obtained her doctorate in 1993. She is the president of the Ethics Committee of the Social Services of Catalonia and a member of the ethics committees of several health centres.
She specializes in Kantian ethics and ethics applied to professional and organizational contexts, topics addressed by most of her publications.
