Interior space "Fàbrica Pons" (Tànger, 92)
The hypnotic motion of a pendulum and the play of shadows it casts become a magical spectacle that explores the relationship with the city and ourselves through the presence and absence of light.
Pendul·lum, designed by ETSAB, captures this primitive ingenuousness via a point of light in constant motion. When interacting with the piece, spectators see how their own silhouettes blur, are distorted and become part of a choreography that seems to take on a life of its own. The swinging movement, with its constant back-and-forth rhythm, creates a shadow drawing that transforms the space.
The installation is thus more than a mere visual game and becomes a metaphor of the duality of existence: we are both presence and projection. Just like Poblenou, which is constantly transforming, we swing between what we are and what we project, between our essence and our shadow in an equilibrium that is as fragile as it is hypnotic.
