In Latin, the word Nexums translates into “ties” or “connections”. In this installation, the School of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona is exploring interpersonal connections.

A series of 35 independent human figures are arranged on a concrete platform. A filament of light travels from one silhouette to another, connecting them physically and symbolically. Nexums spotlights the importance of human relations through time and space, creating a network of invisible but essential connections. These bonds are imperceptible by the human eye but have an impact on our evolution and growth as individuals and society.

The installation encourages visitors to reflect on the traces we leave on everyone we interact with and show how these connections shape our collective existence.
