Accelerated industrialisation and excessive urban growth in Barcelona have led to a significant loss of biodiversity in the city and a gradual reduction in the green spaces in our environment. Llum verda! [Green Light!] is not just a signal to cross the street, but a call for urgent change in Barcelona’s urban planning. This installation is a call to promote the recovery of nature in the city and to restore environmental balance. Llum verda! symbolises the transformation of this site in Poblenou—at the heart of its residential and tertiary transformation—into a green space to bring nature closer to its residents and improve their quality of life. This change marks the transition from an old industrial area to one that is friendlier, more respectful and greener, and offers a vision for the future of a more sustainable city. Green light for change, green light for Barcelona’s greenery.
