Light as the voice of matter will be presented at Llum BCN with two urban installations: the projection of the work Frequencies on the façade of the Design Museum and the work From infrared to ultraviolet, which will light up the nearby Torre Glòries building.

From infrared to ultraviolet is a journey through colour – the part of the electromagnetic spectrum that can be seen by the human eye – following the various wavelengths that make up light. Colour horizons will slowly and successively move down Torre Glòries until it is completely covered by colour, in a continuous sequence.

Frequencies is a piece of fabric with lines of different colours formed by the meeting of the light spectra of the elements from which matter is made. The projection stops every now and then to give us a chance to recognise the spectrum of each element, its light signature, and identify it with its name and chemical symbol. A dance of light, a metaphor for the formation of everything that makes up the universe, will be projected on the façade of the MHUBA.
