COORDINATES V.1 is the first piece in a series of kinetic, light and sound installations which explore movement through corresponding vertical and horizontal elements.

Inspired by the idea that any coordinate reflects a position in space through a vertical axis and a horizontal one, French illustrator Noemi Schipfer and Japanese architect and musician Takami Nakamoto – together, Nonotak Studio – experiment with a narration where the numerous modules which frame these coordinates are spread across the exhibition area. The goal is to use horizontal and vertical lines to create perspective references which move together, in relation to the soundscape.

The installation has no beginning and no end. It uses algorithms that operate independently and in a variable manner, allowing visitors to experience it at their own pace.
