Courtyard of Can Framis, accessible from Carrer de Sancho de Ávila

Author:
Chris Salter i Alex Saunier

In the first decades of the 20th century, Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, a painter, photographer and theoretician educated at the Bauhaus, already considered light and movement to be elements with a great creative potential. He came up with what is called a light-space modulator, a spinning creation made of lights, mirrors and metallic shapes, which projected rotating shadows. Ninety years later, Chris Salter and Alex Saunier, after revisiting Moholy-Nagy's research, have transformed the courtyard of Can Framis into an enormous light, space and sound modulator.
