Esbarts de Barcelona

Barcelona dances to the rhythm of its history, and the esbarts are the main protagonists. This year, nine city's esbarts will fill plaça Reial with traditional dances that remind us of where we come from and encourage us to enjoy who we are. In the morning and afternoon of Sunday 22 September, the square will become a stage for dance moves and rhythms that'll take you on a journey through the different landscapes of Catalonia. Each esbart group has its own distinctive style, and each dance its own history, but they all share the same spirit: a passion for our roots.
