Three essential musicians of three generations, remarkable references of their respective musical scenes, join on the stage to interpret their own themes and, especially, great classics of the Brazilian song.
It all began in November 2018, when the three artists met on stage at a concert at Rio Verde Cultural Center in São Paulo, a multidisciplinary band that has been one of the greates figures of the avant-garde Brazilian popular culture for more than a decade. Toquinho, an authentic myth of Brazilian music who at 72 has been on stage about fifty and has composed hundreds of songs, played some of its most popular songs. The singer and composer from Palafrugell Sílvia Pérez Cruz and Pamplona double bass player Javier Colina, on the other hand, played songs from their joint album, In the imagination. But the most exciting and vibrant moments of the night came when the three jointly reviewed some of the classic songs from the Brazilian repertoire ranging from Garota de Ipanema to Eu Sei Que Vou Te Amar or Samba in Prelude. So satisfying was the experience, that the three musicians decided to give it continuity, a happy decision that, now, brings them on tour in cities such as Cartagena, San Sebastián or Madrid but, also, on the stage of the Teatre Grec where Toquinho will sing once again (he already did so at 2012 Grec). He is one of the fundamental names of Brazilian music, company of unforgettable artists such as Chico Buarque, Vinicius de Moraes or Maria Creuza, but the versatile voice of Perez Cruz will also sound, always surprising and exciting, as well as the double bass of Javier Colina, an essential musician who also plays the piano, the accordion and the guitar and who can play either jazz or flamenco and the popular music of half the planet.
