After collaborating with the New Orleans musician Jon Batiste on the song My Heart in 2023, this year the Vilassar de Mar artist is releasing a new album, which she will perform in her debut concert at the Teatre Grec. It is called De camino al camino [From Path to Path], a collection of songs that search for beauty in everyday things. The album is a testimony to the roots that connect us to our origins and allow us to move forward, and contains an amalgamation of styles and influences with a single common thread: the path.
This new project is the artist’s journey, shared with the people who have been an integral part of her path from the beginning, her musical tribe. Prominent collaborators such as Elisabeth Roma, Pol Batlle, Horacio Fumero and Juan Berbín join her on this new voyage. This time, Rita Payés expands her musical family to include a string quartet that adds a unique, captivating and enriching dimension to this avant-garde initiative. It is a musical journey where emotion, artistry and connection to one’s roots come together in a masterful way.
