We use the word “realisticism” to talk about mystical experiences that occur in everyday life. Praxis talks about the need to get in touch with something beyond ourselves, starting with others. It questions our commitment to the common and how we deal with it as individuals. We want to create a space where we can think together, experiencing ideas and emotions through the body.
We propose two practices:
The first one, on a stage, is to reach a collective catharsis through dancing. The audience will dance the entire Bolero of Ravel as a cleansing ritual, after asking themselves some dirty and embarrassing questions.
The second practice brings this experience into reality. We will travel along the highway in our motorhome for 23 days, doing this collective dance in rest areas with truck drivers and families on vacation. We will invite them to stop for a while and do something together in the temple of the transitory before they go back to their moving fortress. This experience will be documented in an exhibition and a publication.
